ProComm™ Max Signal Transmitter

Introducing the ProComm Max from Hach’s Flow Solutions by McCrometer, the latest in cutting-edge electronics for our electromagnetic flow meters. This fully scalable solution allows for seamless in-field upgrades, adapting effortlessly to changes in power and communication protocols.
The innovative design separates the converter and transmitter functionalities, simplifying calibration and updates. Each flow meter now features an IP67 converter installed at the sensor, paired with either a meter-mounted IP67 transmitter or a remote-mounted enclosure.
Paired with SensorMIND, this separation of the converter and sensor ensures functionality remains at the sensor, eliminating the need for matched pair cabling and excluding cabling from the calibration process.
All flow parameters are converted into flow data within the sensor housing, allowing data to be transmitted over distances greater than 500 feet without degradation. This also means that cables can be cut to length for a cleaner installation.
The new transmitter design includes a backlit display that is easily readable in bright sunlight, along with a powerful coil drive circuit that delivers 250% more power to the coils, ensuring better signal-to-noise ratios in all measurement scenarios.
Additionally, the modular power and communication modules enable field changes in protocols, accommodating system upgrades without the need for sensor removal or replacement. The ProComm Max is a fully scalable solution, future-proofed for emerging technologies.
