Accurately measure low-range ammonia nitrogen (NH₃-N) in wastewater, drinking water, and industrial process water using Hach Method 8155. This reagent set delivers reliable results from 0.01–0.50 mg/L NH₃-N and includes reagents for 100 tests.

Why Choose Hach Ammonia Reagent Set 2668000?

• Low-level ammonia detection from 0.01–0.50 mg/L NH₃-N
• Pre-measured powder pillows reduce preparation errors
• Supports consistent results across operators and sites
• Ideal for nutrient monitoring and wastewater treatment optimization
• Designed for use with Hach spectrophotometers and colorimeters
• Includes reagents for 100 tests

About the Salicylate Method

The Salicylate Method (Hach Method 8155) is now more commonly used for ammonia nitrogen analysis in water and wastewater applications than the Nessler method. It provides sensitive low-range measurement capability for monitoring nutrient levels, and treatment performance. The salicylate method for ammonia also eliminates mercury-containing reagents
The salicylate colorimetric method produces a green-colored complex proportional to ammonia concentration, enabling reliable low-range ammonia measurements.

Benefits include:

• Mercury-free chemistry
• Excellent suitability for low-level ammonia monitoring
• Reduced interference from common hardness constituents
• Reduced hazardous waste handling requirements
• Consistent performance across water and wastewater applications

Applications:

  • Industrial Wastewater
  • Influent for Wastewater
  • Nutrient Monitoring
  • Primary Treatment
  • QA/QC Lab
  • Secondary Treatment
  • Source Water
  • Tertiary Treatment
