Hach's New Ion Selective Electrode Probes Broaden Electrochemistry Portfolio
April 14, 2011
Hach Company expands the HQd electrochemistry portfolio with four new IntelliCAL™ probes to measure ammonium, chloride, fluoride, and nitrate. Designed specifically for water applications, these smart Hach probes minimize user errors and set-up time by automatically recognizing the testing parameter, calibration history, and method settings.
These new InteliCAL probes bring simplicity and accuracy to a whole new set of parameters using our HQd digital technology." stated Thom Voll, Lab Business Unit Director for Hach. "This sensor family will provide fast and stable measurement for both laboratory and field use, and compliments our new laboratory HQd meter."
The Hach IntelliCAL Ion Selective Electrode (ISE) probes provide longer life at a lower cost than traditional probes because there are no membranes to replace. Their solid state sensor can be stored dry and eliminates the need to replace membranes and fill solution, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. The electrodes' large reference junctions provide more surface area for sample contact, which results in the measurement stabilizing faster.
