Accurate readings can be obtained on suspended solids up to a depth of 4.5 m (15'). Lower sampler to bottom of tank. When bottom has been reached and pipe has filled to surface level, tug slightly on rope as you begin to raise the unit. This seats the check valve, trapping the column of solids and liquid. When the sampler has been raised clear of the liquid, the amount of solids in the sample can be read from the one-foot increments marked on the pipe sections. Material easily released by touching bottom pin against a hard surface to open check valve. Comes in three 1.5 m (5') sections of 1.9 cm (0.75") plastic pipe with screw-type fittings. Convenient carrying case and cleaning accessories also available.
